ELMAK INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS--What do we do!!

ELMAK Intelligent Systems is a business founded to radically improve the collation and analytical capability of local authority address databases. This data is called “Geo-databases” and is based on GIS (Geographical Information Systems) which is held by all local authorities in UK. This data is then forwarded to the Central hub which has its own, larger “Geo-database”.

The business is formed on the principle of improving the current methodology Existing databases are held by the local authorities, the Blue Light services, Royal Mail, Electoral Roll and Non-domestic Rates Department. These are all separate databases currently, and the inefficiency this causes, amount to a loss of revenue in the order of around £1 billion nationally, each year.

ELMAK Intelligent Systems will address this problem by the development of intelligent software which will allow all these separate databases to be integrated into a single non-duplicated database, which will hold all the address data in relation to residential and commercial premises. This means that the local authorities such as Blue Light services, Electoral Register, Royal Mail and all the relevant bodies will hold the same accurate and constantly updated data in common. This data once completed for the whole local authority, will be held centrally by the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG), a government database held for use by all official, regulated agencies in the UK.

This process is currently done manually by each different agency. It is inherently out of date, inefficient and leads to considerable loss of revenue of Council Tax, over payment of benefits, and fraud. (See attached slides of data in Appendix 1).

ELMAK Intelligent Systems has the skill and experience to develop intelligent software which will analyse current address geo databases and bring them serially into a single, unified, non-duplicated state, with no redundant data. It will also have the capacity to constantly be updated into new data and keep the database current and non-redundant.

The local authority and other services will have a trustworthy, current, single Geo-database which is something they all recognise is needed. The awareness of the current mismatched database and the problem of missed revenue collection create a market for the software being developed by ELMAK Intelligent Systems.
